El Nido use to be a fishing village way back tourism came. It is the way of life of the local town folks of the island.
As the island progress, parts of the fishing villages where change to accommodate the development of the island tourism, and now El Nido does not just depend on its island fish catch, but also depends on the nearby fishing villages in the North of Palawan, like Linapacan, this is due to the high demand of fresh seafoods due to its tourism development.
There are few fishing villages left in the island of El Nido, like Lamuro. You can still see local from the barangay selling their fresh catch fish in the roadside, and some sell in the market place in El Nido Town.
Many of the fisherman in El Nido are small, they only catches fishes that they need for daily consumption, for eating and for selling. Selling, so they can use it on their daily needs, buying daily necessities, foods, clothing, electricity and other basic needs.

The activity will start at 10 in the morning, guests will be picked up the their accommodation in El Nido, and will go straight to the fishing village in Lamuro.
You will experience and see first hand how the fishing village look like and get a glimpsed of the local fishing community in Philippines and its culture.
With a small fishing boat, an actual boat use by local fisherman, you will depart from the fishing village, and will get to see and one of the biggest mangrove concentration in the island. With few minutes ride going to the fishing site, you will be tough how to fish like the local fisherman.
You will get to experience fishing the way the locals do. How about that? and with a real fisherman.
After the fishing activity, you will go to a small island, where only locals go, and while preparing your lunch, you can go for swim, and enjoy the beautiful corals the island can offer.
Lunch will be serve, and if you manage to catch some fish, it will be prepared freshly together with the lunch included for the activity.
The price person is, P1799, minimum of 2 persons, proceeds will go directly to the local fisherman and local fishing village.
