The Philippines is named World's Leading Dive Destination and the World's Leading Beach Destination for 2022 at the 29th World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony recently held in Muscat, Oman.

As the World's Leading Beach Destination, the Philippines bested other beaches in the world, including previous awardees like Maldives, The Algarve in Portugal, Jamaica, Galapagos Islands in Ecuador, and the Turks and Caicos Islands, among others.
Meanwhile, the Philippines' dive portfolio continues its four-year winning streak for the World's Leading Dive Destination title, conquering the world's finest diving destinations, including the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and the Cayman Islands, among others.
The 29th World Travel Awards gathered the best travel and hospitality industries from its regional awardees across Asia, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, North America, Oceania, and South America.
In 2021, the Philippines also won both awards at the World Travel Awards.
Founded in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognizes brands and organizations worldwide from the travel, tourism, and hospitality industries through its annual gala ceremonies held in each continent.
